RRCC MN Residential Code Building Blocks 2022 (7 credits)
Speaker: Roger Axel, C.B.O.
2021 brought a new series of Building Codes which outline the minimum standards required across the state. The approved course will include vital information on the following:
- Minnesota Residential Code administrative provisions
- Residential contractor and remodeler licensing requirements
- Business Management strategies, top requests from your accountant
- MN Energy Code thermal envelope components
- Bearing Pin Piers as an alternate to conventional concrete footings
- Handling & installation of metal-plate-connected wood trusses
Retired Building Official with 30+ years code administration/inspection experience including single and multi-family residential, educational, industrial, business and mercantile occupancies; multiple certifications from the State of Minnesota and the International Code Council; International Code Council contract instructor; instructor for Housing and Building Inspection Institute at UW-Madison College of Engineering; instructor for MN Licensed Residential Contractor continuing education seminars.
**This 7 hour class has been approved by the MN Department of Labor & Industry for continuing education for residential building contractors, remodelers, roofers and building officials, including 1 hour of energy and 1 hour of business management.
